Confessions of My Oversights

Confessions of My Oversights

I am blessed to live a full 32 years of life on the surface of the planet earth. Though not on some developed countries or the most beautiful of places, but I have had my share of beauty and blessings between two countries Afghanistan and Pakistan, and two cities, Quetta and Islamabad.

I am an introvert by choice, not by any medical conditions or social pressure. I have always liked to be alone doing my things without being interrupted for hours, days and months. Urgent matters aside, as they need urgent attention. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be called urgent.

One of the past days, I was pondering on all the important periods of my life. Those that contributed to shape my life for better and also those that were responsible to shape my life for worse. All of them have one thing in common, they prepare you for the future. And you can always learn from them if you happen to give it a visit, with an open mind and a digesting appetite for wisdom.

I realized that 32 years of life, minus the years of one’s inability to perceive anything, is indeed a very long period if it is focused on a specific purpose. The fact that I could have mastered any principle of life in this period if and only if I had not juggled between which one to choose for life really puts me in state of wonder and awe.

I can only imagine about all that I could have done, and all that I could have become. Those years spent with a sense of purpose, and a clear sitemap of a destination could unfold a world of possibilities.

For me, it is an opportunity wasted. However, I thought I should not let this go without extracting the last drop of oil out of it. So, I confess all the mistakes, blunders and oversights I have committed during a lifetime.

Manifest Wisdom through Confessions of my Oversights

I hope, one day a young seeker of truth, one who is confused to choose between paths, find the manifested wisdom in these oversights. And may the wisdom help him pursue a life of peace and clarity, a life with a sense of persistency and perseverance in fulfilling his destiny.

I hope confession of these oversights find those teens who are about to embark on a journey of their adulthood; where, they are the ones who are to decide, about what they want to do and what they want to become and accept the responsibility for the outcomes.

I hope a young me in his teens stumble upon the oversights of the adult me and choose a better path and stick to it for life till it becomes his life, and he becomes its true identity, like Electricity and Thomas Edison, Gravity and Newton, Tesla and Elon Musk, Apple and Jeff Bezos, Microsoft and Bill Gates, and many others to come.

And as for me, I am hopeful that the mighty creator will bless me with at least 40 more beautiful years to explore other cities and countries on all the 7 continents to commit other mistakes, blunders and oversights, so that I may be able to put a light on it.
